7/20 釣果（３回目）

Fishing results on Hamburger Day (designated by McDonald's Japan).

The sea conditions seemed fine, but these results were surprising.
I am concerned about the low catch and worried that I did not catch any kijihata, even though I have caught them easily in recent years.

7/11 釣果（２回目）

 Fishing results on World Population Day.

Usually, the tide flows offshore, but today it was unsteady. The unstable tide might be the reason why I could not catch many aji. 

To my surprise, I did not see any kijihata.

7/4 釣果

 Fishing Results on U.S. Independence Day.

Around this day last year, unusually, it was already after the rainy season, and I caught no horse mackerel. Today, it was during the rainy season, and I think these results were related to the rainy conditions.
I caught enough rockfish, but I wanted to catch more horse mackerel. Mackerel got in the way while I was fishing for horse mackerel.

6/20釣果（5回目）

 Fishing results on Peppermint Day.

I noticed afterwards that today was the annual "no horse mackerel day" in June. It was June 20th in 2024 and June 28th in 2025.

As always, I expected horse mackerel, but it was not a wasted trip because I unexpectedly caught a juvenile yellowtail.

I caught bottom fish as usual, but released the smaller ones.

The sparrow chicks nesting next to my house have fledged for the second time this year. This may be the second brood of the same pair.

6/7 釣果（２回目）

Fishing results on Glaucoma Awareness Day.

Today was a very busy day. I wanted to attend a birding event that started at 9 a.m., so I stopped fishing at 6 and left the fish with my father as I hurried to get ready.

After the event, I returned to my father's house and took him shopping at his request.

I kept ten horse mackerel and one Hong Kong grouper, and gave the rest to my father.

While fishing, I spotted an osprey diving into the sea, but it seemed to miss its prey.

All three pairs of my waterproof footwear have sprung leaks almost simultaneously. Does this sort of thing ever happen?
Anyway, I had to buy new ones, and I hope they last at least five years.

5/16 釣果（２回目）

Fishing Results on a Travel Day

I started fishing a bit late, but I caught many mackerel scad and two big horse mackerel. I lost all three of my rockfish rigs and then quit.

It was an acceptable result for my first fishing trip of the year.

The sparrow chicks seemed to have left the nest next to my house, because the parent bird did not chirp a warning while I was watering the plants.
