8/31 釣果（２回目）

Fishing results on Vegetable Day (8[ya]3[sa]1[i]).

At first, there was no bite, but after throwing in scatter bait, I caught small horse mackerel and Japanese barracuda continuously, without rebaiting.

Then, I switched to bottom fishing. There were two big bites, but the line broke each time.

A pair of Blue Rock Thrushes appeared, and the male was singing beautifully. Their appearance filled me with joy.

8/23 釣果（２回目）

Fishing results on the International Day for Remembrance of the Slave Trade and Its Abolition.

Today, I lost quite a lot of tackle: two rigs for horse mackerel with sinkers, two rigs for bottom fish, and one chumming basket.
So I did not feel like fishing anymore, and the result was a bit disappointing.

8/17 釣果

Fishing results on Indonesia's Independence Day.

Today's main target was horse mackerel, since last Thursday's catch did not satisfy me. I also hoped for a fluke.
I put some small horse mackerel on the rig for fluke, but surprisingly, a globefish skillfully nibbled off the bait without getting hooked.
I was satisfied with the horse mackerel, and I was also happy to catch a huge and unexpected Japanese barracuda.

8/14 釣果（５回目）

Fishing results on an Exclusive Sales Patent Day.

I woke up as planned, but there was some trouble, which took about twenty minutes to fix. However, the delay did not seem to affect the results.
It was the first time I had caught more than ten threeline grunts.

8/3 釣果（２回目）

 Fishing results on a Judicial Scrivener's Day.

I caught a fluke for the first time in four years! It was a small one, but whatever.
I used the very small horse mackerel I caught as bait for bottom fish. I was hoping for scorpion fish too, but only Hong Kong groupers showed up.
It was good to see a fluke, but overall, the results were unsatisfying.

Fishing results on the Independence Day of the Republic of Maldives.

I started fishing at my usual spot—east of the centre between two groups of tetrapods, slightly offshore—hoping for horse mackerel.
There was no bite except for one mackerel shad (muro aji). I almost gave up, but decided to move to the centre, closer to the blocks.
Then, I finally caught a large number of horse mackerel!
I had moved only about 20 metres from the first spot. I am not sure whether the result was due to the location change, but next time I will start fishing at the latter spot.

Fishing results on the Statehood Day of Montenegro.

I finally caught some horse mackerel. Eight of them took the bait all at once—one on each of the eight hooks of my rig—and nothing after that. I had never experienced anything like it.

 Fishing results on a Salad Anniversary.

Lo! This is what happens when I actually prepare for bottom fish. All were caught with firefly squid. I believe sliced mackerel or horse mackerel would have worked just as well.

 Fishing results on a Wave Day (7[na]3[mi]).

It was the worst day ever: I lost fishing rigs, broke a rod, and caught only one fish.
My biggest mistake was failing to prepare for bottom fish.

6/28 釣果

 Fishing Results on Trade Day.

Of course, I expected to catch some horse mackerel, but I got absolutely nothing.
I used to believe that horse mackerel were always around in early summer.
I guess I was wrong. June 20 last year was just like today.
The world keeps changing. I hope it changes for the better.

6/8 釣果

 Fishing results on World Oceans Day.

Several big horse mackerel bit the bait, but I only caught one. Bottom fish were biting as soon as the bait hit the bottom.

Since I had a birdwatching event today, I stopped fishing at 6:30 a.m.

5/16 釣果

The result of fishing on Travel Day (Tabi no Hi).

I was sure I could catch some horse mackerel today – but where were they?

I was determined to catch more than last time, so I am a bit disappointed.

The result of fishing on Licca Doll's birthday.

I thought catching only two horse mackerel was unusual, but when I checked my records from early May, I found it was not that rare.
After giving up on horse mackerel, I switched to scorpion fish as usual. I caught a few, then returned to the first spot.
Around 6:50, the rest of the fish started to bite.

4/28 釣果

 The result of fishing on Workers' Memorial Day and the World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

It was my first fishing trip of 2025. I was hoping for horse mackerel and scorpionfish, and I had prepared firefly squid in case there were no horse mackerel.
It was the case—no horse mackerel.
On the first day of last year, I caught many fish, including globefish, but today there was no real sign of anything except for the scorpionfish.
