10/12 釣果

 The result of fishing on Columbus Day.

I was on the sea at the best time in the morning to catch horse mackerel. However, I couldn't see them for about thirty minutes. Then, I moved to the point where I used to catch Japanese barracuda well.
Last October 1st, the Japanese barracuda disappeared already, so I was satisfied with this result.

9/7 釣果

 The result of fishing on the Independence Day of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

I started fishing at five, half an hour before sunrise and it may be the best time to start fishing in the morning.

Unexpectedly, the Japanese barracuda were few. I could catch more if I wanted to, but they were small, and I gave up them when I lost a rig.

Hong Kong grouper has become an easy target these days. I had to try not over-fishing.

The result of fishing on Ukrainian Independence Day.

I felt I could catch Hong Kong grouper more, but five are enough. I am a little disappointed that all the fish were expecting. I wanted to see an unexpected fish.

I quit fishing at 6:30, earlier than the last time. It was too hot already at the time.

8/15 岐阜県関市 名もなき池（通称：モネの池）

 I went to the so-called "Monet's Pond" in Gifu prefecture.

I found it particularly unimpressive, but curiously, the photo is beautiful. I was a bit impressed and it made me write this diary.

8/4 釣果

 The result of fishing on a chopstick day.

Today's sunrise was five o'clock, so I thought waking up at four was enough. However, when I went out and looked at the dimly bright sky, I realized I was late. Why did I make this mistake when I have fished for over twenty years?
I tried catching big fish by using small horse mackerel as live bait. I expected flathead as always, but it was lizard fish (エソ). Gross.

7/21 釣果

 The result of fishing on Belgian National Day.

I caught an octopus again in the same way as the last time. Mackerel was in the same state as before. I didn't want to be bothered by them, so I contrived to avoid them.
It seemed they were in the medium to near the surface depth, so I scattered bait in the deep depth. All horse mackerel were hooked at the lowest hook.
And once mackerel appeared, I suspended fishing. I resumed it when they seemingly had gone somewhere.

Scorpionfish were small. The one in the picture was the biggest and the rest were released.

7/13 釣果（３回目）

The result of fishing on a Motsuyaki day.

Mackerel became more active and annoying than last time. They tangled the fishing line. Eventually, my goal was to continue fishing without tangling the line. What was I doing at all?

However, one fun thing was catching octopus. I thought it hooked something in the sea and saw it holding the ground bite case. I failed once, but it gave me a second chance, and I successfully caught it by the landing net.

Many small mackerel disturbed fishing. I don't need mackerel except for big ones. I need horse mackerel.
I tried to fish Japanese whiting with fake worms, but there was no bite as usual.

6/20 釣果 （4回目）

 The result of fishing on World Refugee Day.

Unbelievable! There was no horse mackerel (except for one ムロアジ).
I didn't have the usual fishing rig for horse mackerel, ママカリ. However, I had other similar rigs, and I don't think it's the only reason I couldn't catch them.

6/11 釣果 （2回目）

 The result of fishing on an Umbrella day.

I predicted it would be a great fishing day today, so I took a paid holiday. 

I knew it! I caught unprecedentedly big Japanese barracudas. The horse mackerels were a good size too.

The biggest Japanese barracuda was 35 cm. This is my new record.
I felt it was too many when I caught a big Hong Kong grouper, so I quit fishing before 6:30.

5/19 釣果 （2回目）

 The result of fishing on a Boxing Day.

Usually, when horse mackerel starts to catch, you can get them continuously. However, it was not like that today. It took a while to get the next ones. The reason might be the stasis of the tide.
After giving up horse mackerel, I started fishing rockfish as usual.
I used sliced mackerel shads as bait, and a kite stole my headless mackerel!

バラ開花２０２４

 It is a first bloomed rose in 2024.

I will try to record the date and picture of the first bloom every year, for what it's worth.

5/3 釣果 （5回目）

 The result of fishing on a Garbage (5(go)/3(mi)) day.

There were many dead firefly squids on the beach. The prefecture I live in is famous for firefly squids throwing themself.

The anglers who started fishing earlier told me today was no good for rockfish because of firefly squid. I hadn't experienced fishing on such a day, and anyway, I tried, but no rockfish, as they told me.

4/29 釣果

 The result of fishing on a Showa Day.

When I was fishing for horse mackerel, the main line broke twice abruptly. I lost two pairs of devices, and could not continue. What is going on in the sea?

Reluctantly, I changed the target to rockfish.

Humm, it was not a bad day eventually.
