10/18 釣果

 The result of fishing on a Statistic Day.

There were already three anglers when I reached to the usual point. I couldn't set myself in the best position. Last Sunday, scattering bait was needless but today I used all scattering bait though this result. One angler reportedly caught a 40cm fluke.

10/11 釣果

 The result of fishing on a Safe and Secure Town Development Day.

According to this diary, once Japanese barracudas were caught in November at latest, so I expected them. The cooler box was full of horse mackerels and barracudas. Fishing barracudas by a lure was fun.

10/4 釣果

 The result of fishing on a Cityscape Day.

It was totally unexpected that there were Japanese barracudas. They became big though there were also not so big ones.

On this season, I lost some fishing devices by fishes that escaped under a rock after biting. It also means I lost the fish, of course. Today, I lost a device again, maybe this was the third time. How mortifying!

Though it was good that many fishes were caught, I was tired of cooking fishes.

9/21 釣果

The result of fishing on a Respect-for-the-Aged Day.

Japanese barracudas were back. But they will be gone by next time.

Seven different kinds of fish!

From the top, gizzard shad (Konosirus punctatus, コノシロ), goatfish (Upeneus japonicus, ヒメジ, オキノジョロウ), small yellowtail (Seriola quinqueradiata, ツバイソ).

Gizzard shads were caught by throwing the sabiki to offshore when I had been fishing Japanese barracudas at near the time of going home. All of them were caught at the same time. I was surprised.

9/17 釣果

 The result of fishing on a Monorail opening anniversary.

The Japanese barracudas were gone. Instead of them, horse mackerels were caught. I tried to catch sillagos from the eastern side to the western side, but the result was as above.

9/5 釣果

 The result of fishing on a Clean Coal Day.

The Japanese barracudas became bigger, good size. There were some small ones also but released. Anyway, I want flukes!

9/2 釣果

 The result of fishing on a Lottery Day.

Today's target was only sillagos. Used all worms which cost 500 yen, bought at a vending machine, but couldn't catch so many. Japanese barracudas haven't become bigger than before.

8/29 釣果

 The result of fishing on a Yakiniku Day.

I could catch Japanese barracudas as many as I wanted to. It was too easy to enjoy. Of course, tried to catch big fishes but the result was as above.

8/22 釣果

The result of fishing on a Tramway Day.

The first fluke bit at a Japanese barracuda hooked on the sabiki. The second one also bit at a Japanese barracuda on the fluke device. A big fish bit off the sabiki device from the fishing line. Two small megochis were caught after a long time. 

The density of fish was high today, but it was too hot!

8/14 釣果

The result of fishing on a Pakistan Independence Day.

It's interesting that horse mackerels became bigger this time. Sillagos were caught at the eastern side as people have reported. A crab (maybe a Japanese blue crab) was hooked at the device of sillago but I couldn't catch. The condition of wave and wind was the best at about nine o'clock but it was too hot, so I couldn't continue.

 The result of fishing on a Mountain Day.

I had a bad feeling before the sail. The anchor my father prepared was short. Moreover, the wind grew stronger and it was totally useless. Small Japanese barracudas were caught as usual.

8/1 釣果

The result of fishing on a Water Day.

The anchor trouble happened again. The rope tied with the anchor was torn off at the root. I had caught some very small horse mackerels at the time, so I gave up horse mackerels and changed the target to fish-eaters and sillagos. Unusually, a tonguefish was caught. The Hong Kong grouper was caught literally at last.

7/26 釣果

The result of fishing on a Potsdam Declaration Day.

The fluke bit the very small horse mackerel hanged at the lowest hook of sabiki (a fishing device with eight hooks). I aimed for flukes by an about 5cm horse mackerel also but apparently, it was too big to bite.
A fish, perhaps a mullet, tried to catch it but could not swallow eventually and I couldn't catch that.

7/19 釣果

The result of fishing on a Female Minister's Day.

The anchor was off from the rope in the middle of fishing. I barely made this result, controlling the boat back and forth. There was a bite of big fish, probably a fluke, at a little offshore, a little western but couldn't catch.

Yamanashi got to be the thirty-sixth prefecture which I visited.

I ate Hoto(ほうとう) which is, of course, a speciality of Yamanashi. Plenty of vegetables, pumpkins, potatoes, carrots and shiitakes were delicious.

The view of Fujisan was disappointing.

6/9 釣果

The result of fishing on a Rock day.

Fished before work for the first time. It's interesting that horse mackerels become smaller little by little.
Today, started fishing a little offshore than usual, expecting big fishes. It was a bad decision. Afterwards, moved to the usual place and have made this result.

5/31 釣果

The result of fishing on a World No-Tobacco Day.

Horse mackerels were smaller than the ones which were caught last weekend. There were no sillagos but instead a filefish was caught. There was a bite of big fish, maybe a fluke, but couldn't be caught.

5/24 釣果

The result of fishing on a Golf Course Anniversary.

There were only horse mackerels. I tried to fish rockfishes also but there was no bite.

I filled in the link to this blog in my profile of Letterboxed as a website. I don't have any expectation of something will happen at all, of course. ...or I might expect a little. It's just an experiment.

「シルトの梯子」読了

I finished reading Schild's Ladder.
It was really hard. Greg Egan's novels are very difficult to understand even in Japanese, but I tried to read the English version and now I finished. It took about nine months! I encountered so many unfamiliar words which I couldn't memorize at all. However, some words repeatedly appeared were memorized, I suppose. I felt I have got a bit of progress in my reading ability.
